It's Fall in the Island City and on some streets there are spectacular views of the city trees making their winter transition. I took a drive around and caught some of the beautiful colors close by my neighborhood. Every time around this part of the year I feel melancholy and miss my former home state New York and need my fix so I drive around and feast on the California trees. Most of the time it does the trick!

Gorgeous! I didn't realize there were so many colorful trees in the Bay Area--I guess I have always just missed them.
