Girls Friday night out on the island- and what an exciting one it was! Mara and I took a trip over to the annual Friends of the Library book sale - (the members sneak preview). There were so many stacks of books, from mystery to sci-fi to foreign language. While I was busy perusing the children's books Mara combed thru the fiction and cookbooks tables. I found a book of essays by my favorite author Barbara Kingsolver, and Mara scored a few of the #1 Ladies Detective Agency series. At times it was hard competing with the local bookstore collectors, you have to be assertive with the stacks! We were surprised when we found out we were closing the place down! Hats off to another great annual book sale. Hmmm, now it's time to cozy up with our books and relax!

How fun! It looks like the book sale we have in August. I always get more than enough books for the year. I like Barbara Kingsolver, too.
we have alot in common...i can't wait to meet you in a few weeks!!! then we can really trash comic sans!
